NASDAQ Dubai Outsourcing To Dubai Financial Market Systems Takes Place Successfully

The outsourcing of trading of NASDAQ Dubai equities to Dubai Financial Market’s (DFM’s) systems took place successfully and on schedule today. Trading took place in the shares of DP World and Depa through UAE and international brokers before the market close at 2pm (10am GMT).

NASDAQ Dubai announced that all trading of its listed equities is now being routed through the trading platform of Dubai Financial Market (DFM), starting today when the market opened at 10am (6am GMT). The move, under preparation since December 2009, is part of a consolidation between the two exchanges that is unique in the GCC.

Dubai Financial Market (DFM) welcomed today the commencement of the outsourcing agreement with NASDAQ Dubai, in which the trading, clearing, settlement and custody of NASDAQ Dubai securities will operate through the trading platform of DFM, the majority shareholder of NASDAQ Dubai, as of Sunday July 11th 2010.

NYSE Amex, a unit of NYSE Euronext (NYX), today announced that pending Securities and Exchange Commission approval, it will begin trading Nasdaq-listed issues on July 13, 2010 on an Unlisted Trading Privilege (UTP) basis, bringing a different market model to the trading of Nasdaq stocks.
Standard & Poor's Announces S&P/TSX Preferred Share Index Methodology Changes

Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Services announces the following modifications to the methodology of the S&P/TSX Preferred Share Index, which will become effective after the close of trading on Friday, July 16, 2010, with the second semi-annual review of the index in 2010: There will be no limit to the number of preferred share issues from any given issuer. Previously, the number of issues per issuer was limited to a maximum of three. There will be a maxim
