Record High Number Of Disclosure Notifications After Tightening Of The Law - Disclosure Office Of SIX Swiss Exchange Publishes Its 2008 Annual Report
The number of reports submitted by significant shareholders trebled in 2008. With the revised law governing disclosure obligations, Switzerland is playing a leadership role and enhancing the transparency of significant shareholdings in listed companies. The Disclosure Office also set records in terms of the number of requests received for the evaluation of the existence of a disclosure obligation or the grant of exceptions and easier disclosures, as well as the number of suspected cases

Shanghai Stock Exchange: "Separating Investigation From Review" Pays Off
Since the establishment of the Disciplinary Committee (the Committee) as well as the mechanism of "separating investigation from review" by the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) a year ago, the Committee has given its functions into full play by holding 26 review meetings, carried out 10 communication votings, reviewed 89 disciplinary cases and issued 79 disciplinary opinions involving public censure, criticism notices and trading restrictions. All these efforts have seen positive effects.

NASDAQ OMX Extends Suspension Of The Bid Price And Market Value Of Publicly Held Requirements Until July 31, 2009
The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ) today announced the NASDAQ Stock Market (NASDAQ(r)) has made a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission to extend its suspension of the rules requiring a minimum $1 closing bid price and a minimum market value of publicly held shares through Friday, July 31, 2009. The rules will be reinstated on Monday, August 3, 2009.

CFTC Charges Weston, Florida Man With Operating A $14 Million Dollar Fraudulent Commodities Scheme - Investors’ Money Allegedly Used To Buy A $2.4 Million Home, Luxury Cars, And Jewelry - Court Freezes Assets And Appoints Receiver
The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today charged Sean Nathan Healy (Healy) of Weston, Florida with operating a fraudulent commodities scheme that defrauded at least 44 investors of approximately $14 million.
