  • NYSE Has Began Trading Six Additional ETFs

    The New York Stock Exchange today started trading six additional ETFs: iShares 1-3, 7-10, and 20+ Lehman Treasury Index Funds; iShares GS $ InvesTopTM Corporate Bond Fund; iShares MSCI Japan Index Fund; and the Vanguard Total Stock Market VIPERs. All six ETFs begin trading on the basis of unlisted trading privileges (UTP).

    The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT®) announced today a new daily Open Interest record in its Coffee "C" market of 72,187 futures contracts set on Wednesday, July 31, 2002. The latest record replaces the previous "C" record of 72,013 contracts set on Tuesday, July 30, 2002.

  • Futures & Options Market On Russian Trading System: July Market Data

    In July 2002, 61.7 thousand trades were executed on FORTS (Futures &Options on RTS), up 46.1% from 42.2 thousand trades in June. Trading volume rose to 2.33 million contracts or 8.5 billion rubles in underlying value, an increase of 49.7% or 17%, accordingly. The month of June showed 1.56 million contracts and 7.2 billion rubles in underlying value.

  • Euronext Amsterdam's Options Exchange Lowers Fees

    On 19 August 2002, Euronext Amsterdam Derivative Markets N.V. will lower the fees it charges for transactions in options and futures. The fee structure will also be made more transparent. The decision to lower the fees results from a study into the effects of further cost reductions for members. The lowering of fees has been made possible by the increase in the number of options contracts and the successful migration of the option classes from the floor to the screen segment.

  • CFTC And SEC Adopt Final Rules Necessary To Permit Domestic Trading In Security Futures Products

    The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) today announced that they have approved for publication in the Federal Register final rules relating to margin< for security futures products. These rules represent the final step necessary to implement provisions of the Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000 (CFMA) that lift the 19-year ban on the trading of single-stock and narrow-based stock index futures in this country.

  • CBOT'S July Volume Highest Monthly Total Ever At 33,240,174 Contracts - Up 69.6% From July 2001

    The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) today announced trading volume of 33,240,174 contracts for July 2002, up 69.6% from July 2001, up 14.5% from June 2002, and up 27.4% year-to-date (YTD) at 186,364,566. July 2002 volume was the highest monthly volume total in exchange history.
