MGEX: Position Limits Increase For U.S. Wheat Contracts

WHO: MGEX, (Minneapolis Grain Exchange, Inc.)
WHAT: On January 17, 2012, Position Limits (on a futures-equivalent basis) for Hard Red Spring Wheat (HRSW) will increase from 5,000 contracts in a non-spot single month, and 6,500 contracts in all months, to 12,000 contracts in a non-spot single month and 12,000 contracts for all months. Spot month position limits will not change. Position limits at MGEX are 600 contracts in the spot month.

International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Christine Lagarde issued the following statement on Hungary today:
“I met today with a Hungarian delegation led by Minister Tamas Fellegi. We had a useful exchange about the latest economic developments in Hungary and about how best the IMF can assist the country in addressing the current economic situation."

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) today announced that Gregory J. Fleming, President of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and President of Morgan Stanley Investment Management, was elected as a Large Firm Governor on FINRA's Board of Governors. Mr. Fleming fills the seat vacated by Sallie L. Krawcheck, former President of Global Wealth & Investment Management, Bank of America.

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Composite Index:
Meadow Bay Gold Corporation (TSXV: MAY) will graduate to trade on TSX at the open of trading on Monday, January 16, 2012. The ticker symbol will remain "MAY" and the CUSIP number will remain 583081 10 4. The company will be removed from the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Friday, January 13, 2012.

The company will be removed from the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Thursday, January 12, 2012.

Texas-Based Accountant Pleads Guilty To Lying To SEC Investigators

CFTC Files Enforcement Action Against Two Indian Citizens For Allegedly Engaging In An Illegal Trading Scheme - Deepak And Meera Singhal Charged With Non-Competitive, Fictitious Trading On The CME

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced the filing of a civil complaint against two Indian citizens, Deepak Singhal, who resides in Mountain View, Calif., and his mother, Meera Singhal, who resides in India. The CFTC complaint charges the defendants with engaging in transactions in violation of the Commodity Exchange Act and trading non-competitively in violation of a CFTC regulation, or aiding and abetting such violations.
