Thai Bourse Announces Three Governors Elected To Its Board

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) announced that three governors were elected by member companies to its board of governors to replace those whose terms will end on May 27, 2012, at an extraordinary meeting of member companies on May 23.

European Parliament Adopts Ambitious Approach On Financial Transaction tax

The proposed financial transaction tax should be better designed to capture more traders and make evasion unprofitable, said the European Parliament in its opinion adopted on Wednesday. The opinion also says the tax should go ahead even if only some Member States opt for it.
