Nobody questions today that taxation is an inextricable part of the overall economic governance process of the EU. The Commission has tabled major proposals to strengthen the tax dimension of the Single market and ensure that tax policy contributes to smart growth.

A new exchange-traded fund (ETF) is available for trading on BM&FBOVESPA. XBOV11 is indexed to the Bovespa Index - Ibovespa, which tracks the performance of the shares issued by leading electric, water and sewage, and gas utilities.

NYSE Euronext’s U.S. options exchanges, NYSE Amex and NYSE Arca, today announced that they are the first exchanges to receive SEC approval to expand the listing and trading of their Short Term Option Series program from a single week to five consecutive weeks. Effective Thursday, November 15, 2012, the products will be available as follows: AAPL, BAC, BP, C and XLF on NYSE Arca Options and EEM, GLD, IWM, QQQ, and SPY on NYSE Amex Options.

Hellenic Exchanges S.A. - HELEX 9M 2012 Financial Results - €8.8m Net After Tax Profits

The consolidated net after tax profits of Hellenic Exchanges Group in the first nine months (9M) of 2012 amounted to €8.8m vs. €21.8m in 9M 2011, reduced by 60%. The net after tax profit per share in 9M 2012 amounted to €0.15 vs. €0.30 in the corresponding period last year, posting a smaller – 50% - reduction, due to the gain from the valuation of the bonds remaining in the Group’s portfolio.
