Eid Al Fiter Holiday For Qatar Exchange

The Management of Qatar Exchange would like to inform the investors and market participants that Qatar Exchange will be closed from Tuesday 30 August 2011 up to and including Thursday 01 September 2011 in occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. Trading will be resumed on Sunday 04 September 2011.

NYSE Euronext Update: Hurricane Irene Preparedness

NYSE Euronext has completed additional preparedness reviews today in advance of the arrival of Hurricane Irene, and the storm's potential impact on the New York City metropolitan area and surrounding region. Preparations are complete on our Trading Floor and in our data centers to conduct trading sessions on Monday morning, August 29, as usual. At this time we anticipate normal trading and post-trade schedules at the New York Stock Exchange, NYSE Arca, NYSE Amex, NYSE Arca Options, NYSE Amex Options, and NYSE Liffe U.S. on Monday. 

CME Group Weather Alert

At this time, CME Group plans to open all electronic, open outcry and CME ClearPort markets per each product's regular schedule. Any schedule changes will be communicated via the CME Group website and the CME Globex Control Center.

A significant weather event is currently forecast for the New York region over the upcoming weekend and culminating late in the day on Sunday, August 28. At this point the Exchange intends to operate floor trading of all ICE Futures U.S. products per the regular floor open and close times for each product for trade date Monday, August 29.

Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In The S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index changes:

• On August 25, 2011, the bid by Nyrstar NV (Brussels:NYR) to acquire Breakwater Resources Ltd. (TSX:BWR) expired and was successful. Nyrstar will acquire Breakwater for $CDN7.00 cash per share. Breakwater will be removed from the S&P/TSX SmallCap and Equity SmallCap, the S&P/TSX Global Base Metals and Equal Weight Global Base Metals and the S&P/TSX Global Mining Indices effective after the close of Wednesday, August 31, 2011.
