Illinois Supreme Court Rejects ISE Appeal Of CBOE's Index Option Victory

On September 26, 2012, the Illinois Supreme Court refused to hear International Securities Exchange's (ISE) appeal of the Appellate Court's May 25, 2012 decision that affirmed a permanent injunction prohibiting ISE from listing or providing an exchange market for trading in options on either the S&P 500® Index (S&P 500) or the Dow Jones Industrial AverageSM (DJIA). This injunction also forbids The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) from clearing options on these indexes for ISE.

NZX Announces Board Changes

NZX is delighted to announce the appointment to the NZX Board of Simon Power and Therese Walsh. Simon’s appointment is effective from December 1 2012 and Therese from February 1 2013.
As previously signalled, Chris Moller will resign from the Board to allow him to focus on his other commitments, including his chairmanship roles at Sky City Entertainment Group Limited and Meridian Energy Limited. Chris’ resignation will take effect on November 2 2012.

S&P Dow Jones Indices Announces Changes To The S&P/TSX Canadian Indices - A Deletion From The S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

S&P Canadian Index Services will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices:
Luna Gold Corp. (TSXVN:LGC) will be removed from the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Friday, September 28, 2012. The company will graduate to trade on TSX under the same ticker symbol.

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today filed a civil enforcement action against registered independent introducing broker iFinix Futures, Inc. (iFinix), based in Plainview, N.Y., and iFinix’s senior executive officer, Benhope Marlon Munroe of New Milford, Conn. iFinix has also done business under the name Pro-Active Futures.

CFTC Orders JP Morgan Chase Bank, N.A. To Pay $600,000 Civil Monetary Penalty For Violating Cotton Futures Speculative Position Limits

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced that JP Morgan Chase Bank, N.A. (JPMCB) agreed to pay a $600,000 civil monetary penalty to settle CFTC charges that it exceeded speculative position limits in Cotton No. 2 futures contracts trading on the IntercontinentalExchange U.S. (ICE).
