  • SGX Welcomes Triyards Holdings To Mainboard

    Singapore Exchange (SGX) is pleased to welcome the listing of Triyards Holdings on Mainboard under the stock code, “RC5”.
    Triyards offers a broad spectrum of engineering and fabricating services focused on the oil and gas market. A leader in the fabrication of Self-Elevating Units in Southeast Asia, Triyards is seeking to expand into Australia and Brazil in the near future.

  • Poland: Trade Repository In KDPW

    As of November 2012 KDPW (The National Depository for Securities, Poland) will launch a new service: trade repository. The introduction of KDPW’s trade repository service addresses the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on OTC derivatives, central counterparties and trade repositories (EMIR) which introduces among others the obligation to report derivatives trade to trade repositories and sets out the rules for trade repositories.

  • Gui Minjie: Shanghai Stock Exchange Committed To Optimizing Legal Environment Of Capital Market

    "Currently and for some time in the future, the revision and formulation of the three laws for the capital market, namely, the 'Securities Law', the 'Securities Investment Fund Law' and the 'Futures Law', are to make the focus of the concerns of the market participants and the legislatures", said Governor Gui Minjie of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) at the 4th Annual Meeting of the Special Committee of Financial Trial Theory under the China Trial Theory Research Society also the Seminar of "Rules and Systems of the Financial Market in Innovation and Transformation" held yesterday. He also said that as the legal system of the capital market is of great importance to the innovation and development of the market, the SSE will make further contributions to the optimization of the legal environment of the capital market.  

  • UK’s Financial Services Authority Fines Sun Life Assurance Company Of Canada (UK) Limited £600,000 For With-Profits Governance Failings

    The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has fined Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada (UK) Limited (SLOC UK) £600,000 for failings in the governance of its with-profits business. The design and operation of SLOC UK’s governance arrangements were unclear and inadequate, resulting in a high risk that policyholders’ interests would not be protected properly.
