JPMorgan Chase Reaches Settlement With The President's Task Force On Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities - Company To Host Conference Call With Investors To Detail Agreement

JPMorgan Chase & Co. announced today that it has reached a $13 billion settlement in principle negotiated by the President's RMBS Working Group of the Financial Fraud Enforcement Task Force. Today's settlement resolves actual and potential civil claims by the Department of Justice (DoJ), several State Attorneys General (State AGs), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) and the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) relating to residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) activities by JPMorgan Chase, Bear Stearns and Washington Mutual.

In addition, both EDGA and EDGX will close early on Friday, November 29, 2013, with the regular trading session ending at 1:00 p.m. and extended session ending at 5:00 p.m. Both exchanges will resume normal trading hours on Monday, December 2, 2013.

CFTC Releases Rule Enforcement Review Of North American Derivatives Trading Exchange Inc.

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (Commission) has notified North American Derivatives Trading Exchange Inc. (Nadex) of the results of a rule enforcement review completed by the Commission’s Division of Market Oversight (Division). The review covered the target period from June 15, 2011 through June 15, 2012. The Division evaluated the Exchange’s compliance with Core Principles 2 (Compliance With Rules) and 12 (Protection of Market Participants), which relate to an exchange’s trade practice surveillance program.
ISE Gemini Trades 20 Millionth Options Contract

The International Securities Exchange (ISE) today announced that ISE Gemini^TM traded its 20 millionth contract, continuing the exchange's consistent growth in volume and industry market share since launching on August 5, 2013. ISE Gemini has averaged 2.8 percent equity options market share during the month of November, with average daily volume nearing half a million contracts.
UK Financial Conduct Authority Acts Quickly To Stop Suspected Boiler Room From Taking More Money

A suspected boiler room has had an unlimited worldwide asset freezing order placed upon it by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) after a High Court judge agreed that First Capital Wealth Limited (FCW) posed a serious risk to consumers. The hearing took place at the High Court on Friday 15 November 2013.
