Key Figures For SIX Swiss Exchange And Scoach Switzerland May 2013

To date, a total of 14,727,457 transactions have been executed on SIX Swiss Exchange and Scoach Switzerland in 2013 – a 4.9% increase year-on-year. Transactions in the equities segment, which includes funds and ETPs, were up 5% at 13,696,319. ETF segment transactions also advanced 24.6% year-on-year to 417,613 transactions.

Trading On The Warsaw Stock Exchange: May 2013

- The value of total trading in equities on the Main Market was PLN 17.4 billion in May 2013, an increase of 17.2% year on year.
- Total trading on the Main Market year to date in 2013 increased by 23.1% year on year.
- The total volume of trading in index futures decreased by 41.6% year on year (544 thousand contracts in May 2013 v. 932 thousand contracts in May 2012).
- The monthly value of session trading in bonds more than quadrupled year on year from PLN 73.2 million in May 2012 to PLN 321.2 million in May 2013.
- The volume of forward transactions in electricity increased by 37.7% year on year in May 2013 while the incremental trading volume year to date in 2013 increased almost three-fold year on year.
- The aggregate volume of spot and forward transactions in natural gas was 78.6 GWh in May 2013 while the incremental volume was more than 381.7 GWh year to date in 2013.

Statement By The European Commission And The European Central Bank Following The Conclusion Of The Third Review Of The Financial Assistance Programme For Spain

A delegation from the European Commission, in liaison with the European Central Bank, the European Stability Mechanism and the European Banking Authority, carried out the third review of the financial sector assistance programme for Spain from 21 May to 31 May 2013. The International Monetary Fund also participated in the review, fulfilling its role as an independent monitor. On the basis of the review, it can be concluded that the programme remains on track.

IntercontinentalExchange Stockholders Approve Acquisition Of NYSE Euronext

IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), a leading operator of global markets and clearing houses, announced the results of the special meeting of stockholders today to approve ICE's acquisition of NYSE Euronext. ICE stockholders approved the agreement to acquire NYSE Euronext, with approximately 99.68% of the shares present at the special meeting voted for the approval of the combination, representing 85.05% of ICE's outstanding common shares. All other proposals passed with an average of 97% of the shares present at the special meeting voting for each of the governance-related proposals and the adjournment proposal.
