NYSE Euronext Announces Trading Volumes For June 2012 And Other Metrics - Trading Volumes In June Lower Across Most Venues, Year-Over Year And Month-Over-Month - European Cash Trading Volumes In June Up 10% Vs. Prior Year; Up 4% Vs. May - Second Quarter 2012 Trading Volumes Mostly Higher Versus Weak First Quarter 2012 Levels
NYSE Euronext (NYX) today announced trading volumes for its global derivatives and cash equities exchanges for June 20121. Trading volumes in June 2012 were mostly down year-over-year and month-over-month with the exception of European cash trading, which increased 9.9% compared to the prior year and increased 3.5% compared to May 2012. For the second quarter, trading volumes increased from weak first quarter 2012 levels.

Ahmad Aweidah, CEO of the Palestine Exchange (PEX), announced that the amount of dividends distributed by companies listed on the PEX was USD 139,886,741 for the year 2011 in cash and stock dividends; amounting to USD 118,198,606 and USD 21,688,134 respectively.

Tokyo Stock Exchange ETF/ETN Monthly Report For Jun 2012
The trading value of the Bull/ Bear ETFs increased
- In June, even as the overall trading value of the ETF/ETN market decreased from the previous month, that of two ETFs, "Bull 2x ETF" (1568) and "TOPIX Bear -1x ETF" (1569) rose by 52.86% and 7.76% respectively.
- Among issues which showed an increase in trading value, "NEXT FUNDS NOMURA Crude Oil Long Index Linked Exchange Traded Fund" (1699) grew by 205.64% versus the previous month as the product drew attention when WTI crude oil futures momentarily dipped below US$80 per barrel in late June.
- Same as last month, ETF Securities' Natural Gas ETF (1689) ranks top in terms of 30 days' volatility

U.S. Senate Banking Committee Chairman Johnson Announces Committee Oversight Activities Regarding LIBOR
Today, Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Johnson (D-SD) released the following statement outlining his plans for Committee oversight and due diligence regarding recent developments pertaining to the London interbank offered rate (LIBOR). LIBOR for the US dollar is currently set based on information provided by 18 global financial institutions, including several U.S. banks. LIBOR is used by financial institutions to set interest rates on a variety of financial products including mortgages, student loans, and credit cards.
