Federal Reserve And Other Central Banks Announce An Extension Of The Existing Temporary U.S. Dollar Liquidity Swap Arrangements Through February 1, 2014
The Bank of Canada, the Bank of England, the European Central Bank, the Federal Reserve, and the Swiss National Bank are today announcing an extension of the existing temporary U.S. dollar liquidity swap arrangements through February 1, 2014. Previously, these swap arrangements had been authorized through February 1, 2013.

STOXX Launches Global Emerging Markets Exposed Index
STOXX Limited, the market-moving provider of innovative, tradable and global index concepts, today introduced the STOXX Global 1800 EM Exposed Index. The new index represents those companies within the STOXX Global 1800 Index that derive a substantial part of their revenues from Emerging Markets countries, thus providing exposure to these growing markets through liquid securities.

Statement By IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde On Greece
Ms. Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), made the following statement today:
"I welcome the Eurogroup’s decision to support the debt buy back operation for Greece and its assurances to provide additional debt relief if necessary and provided Greece has achieved a primary budget balance in 2013. These steps will ensure that Greece’s debt-to-GDP declines to 124 percent by 2020 and to substantially below 110 percent by 2022.

UK's Financial Services Authority: Investment Banker Sentenced For Insider Dealing
In a case brought by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), Thomas Ammann, an investment banker and former FSA Approved Person, has today been sentenced at Southwark Crown Court to 2 years and 8 months imprisonment for two counts of insider dealing and two counts of encouraging insider dealing. But for an early guilty plea the sentence would have been one of 4 years.
