HKEx Announces Plans For Its First Asia Commodities Contracts

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) plans to launch its commodities business with four futures contracts that will be traded in its derivatives market in Hong Kong: London Aluminium Mini Futures, London Zinc Mini Futures, London Copper Mini Futures and API 8 Thermal Coal Futures. HKEx aims to introduce the contracts later this year, pending regulatory approval and market readiness.

Japan's Securities And Exchange Surveillance Commission: Recommendation For Administrative Monetary Penalty Payment Order For Violation Of Disclosure Requirements By Taiyo Shokai Inc.

1. Contents of the Recommendation
The Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission, today, made a recommendation to the prime minister and the commissioner of the Financial Services Agency that an administrative monetary penalty payment order be issued in regard to misstatements of financial reports on material issues by TAIYO SHOKAI INC. (“TAIYO SHOKAI”) pursuant to Article 20(1) of the Act for Establishment of the Financial Services Agency. This recommendation is based on the findings of the disclosure statements inspection of the company, whereby the following violations of laws and ordinances were identified.

Dalian Commodity Exchange: May-Matured Iron Ore Contract To First Adopt Bill Of Lading

The bill of lading delivery system pioneered by Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) will be first implemented on Contract I1405, i.e., the iron ore futures contract to be expired on May 2014. DCE received on April 15 the first batch of buyer intention applications for bill of lading of iron ore, with 800, 400, and 400 contracts at Rizhao Port, Lianyungang, and Qingdao Port, respectively.

Preparing For Options Listing, Dalian Commodity Exchange Trains Lecturers On Soybean Meal Options

In order to better cultivate the market for the listing of the options, on April 15 and 16, Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) held the training session for the lecturers on the soybean meal options in Dalian in a bid to keep the lecturers on standby for extensive training for the options practitioners. The training session kicked off the DCE’s full-market training on options. -

Ten More Brokers Agree To Produce Analysis For Thai mai-Listed Firms

The Market for Alternative Investment (mai), under The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) group, today signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with ten brokers to produce financial statement analysis for companies listed on mai. The analyses would give insights for investment’s decision making with an expectation that there would be analyses covering about 50 companies, from the total of 96 mai-listed firms.
