Oslo Børs: Introduction Of Intra-Day Auction To Concentrate And Improve Liquidity

Starting on 16 June, there will be an intraday auction for shares listed on Oslo Axess and for some shares listed on Oslo Børs that have limited liquidity. The intraday auctions will concentrate and improve liquidity in these shares.
ESMA And EBA Publish Harmonised Guidelines For Handling Consumer Complaints Across The EU

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) and the European Banking Authority (EBA) published today their Joint Committee final Report on guidelines for handling consumer complaints in the securities and banking sectors. The document aims to increase market confidence and for the benefit of consumers and firms alike it will ensure a harmonised approach to handling complaints for all 28 EU Member States and across all financial services sectors.
Liffe Sets Daily Volume Record In 2 Year Euro Swapnote® Futures

Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE: ICE), the leading global network of exchanges and clearing houses, announced today that Liffe reached a daily volume record of 70,480 contracts in 2 year Euro Swapnote® futures on June 12, 2014. The previous record of 38,482 contracts was set on November 11, 2008.
TOCOM To Launch Chicago-Tokyo Low Latency Network Service In September 2014

The Tokyo Commodity Exchange, Inc., (TOCOM), Japan’s largest commodity futures exchange and one of the most prominent in Asia, announced today that it worked toward an agreement with KVH Co. Ltd., Asia’s leading information delivery platform, to provide a low latency telecommunication path between CME Group’s data center in Aurora, Illinois and the KVH Tokyo Data Center 1. The new service is slated to launch on September 15, 2014.

Monetary Authority Of Singapore : New Initiatives To Promote The International Use Of Renminbi Through Singapore

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) announced today that a facility for providing overnight Renminbi (RMB) liquidity to financial institutions in Singapore will be launched on 1 July 2014. MAS also welcomed the directive issued today by the People’s Bank of China (PBC) Nanjing branch that will allow eligible corporates and individuals in the Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) to conduct cross-border RMB transactions with Singapore. These initiatives will further promote the international use of RMB and facilitate the growth of the RMB offshore market in Singapore.
