  • Tokyo Commodity Exchange Receives Authorization From Singaporean Regulator As A Recognised Market Operator

    The Tokyo Commodity Exchange, Inc., announced that the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has granted TOCOM with “Recognized Market Operator” (“RMO”) status. The announcement in Singapore on June 26th went into effect on July 1st and permits TOCOM to offer Singapore-based market participants with direct market access.

  • Shenzhen Stock Exchange Market Bulletin 30 June, 2014, Issue 21

    Last week, Shenzhen Component Index stood at 7312.6 points after adding 1.6%. SME Index edged up 2.3% to 4740.3 points. ChiNext Index advanced4.1% to 1388.8 points. Total turnover for stocks and funds on SZSE was US$80.9 billion, or a 0.8% decrease  from the week before.

  • Canadian Securities Regulators Seek Comments On Proposed Amendments Related To Gender Diversity

    The securities regulatory authorities in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Québec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories and Nunavut (the Participating Jurisdictions) today published for comment proposed amendments to Form 58-101F1 Corporate Governance Disclosure (Form 58-101F1) of National Instrument 58-101 Disclosure of Corporate Governance Practices (NI 58-101) (the Proposed Amendments). These amendments were previously published for comment by the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) on January 16, 2014. 

  • EBA Consults On Technical Standards On Home Host Cooperation In The EU Banking Sector

    The EBA launched a public consultation on standards on colleges of supervisors and on standards on joint decisions on approval of internal models. The technical standards on colleges detail supervisory activities performed by colleges in going concern and emergency situations, while the ITS on joint decisions relate to the approval of internal models and detail the processes to be followed by competent authorities when reaching joint decisions. These standards aim at facilitating the interaction and cooperation between authorities at EU and global level and strengthening supervision of cross-border banking groups across the EU.
