At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse AG reappointed Ms Hauke Stars, a member of the Deutsche Börse Executive Board, for five years with effect from 1 December 2015.

Average Daily Volume Of 7.8 Million Contracts At Eurex Group In November
In November 2014, the international derivatives markets of Eurex Group recorded an average daily volume of 7.8 million contracts (November 2013: 7.5 million). Of those, 5.3 million were Eurex Exchange contracts (November 2013: 5.0 million), and 2.5 million contracts (November 2013: 2.5 million) were traded at the U.S.-based International Securities Exchange (ISE). In total, 107.0 million contracts were traded at Eurex Exchange and 39.0 million at ISE.

Turnover At Deutsche Börse’s Cash Markets At 103.9 Billion Euros In November
Order book turnover on Xetra, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and Tradegate stood at €103.9 billion in November (November 2013: €92.9 billion). Of the €103.9 billion, €96.1 billion were attributable to Xetra (November 2013: €83.4 billion). €3.9 billion were attributable to the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (November 2013: €4.8 billion). Order book turnover on Tradegate Exchange* totalled approximately €3.9 billion in November (November 2013: €4.7 billion).

EEX Reaches New Power Market Records In November – All-Time High In French And Italian Power Futures – Second Highest Volume Ever On The Power Derivatives Market
In November 2014, European Energy Exchange (EEX) achieved new records on its Power Derivatives Market. The overall volume amounted to 177.3 TWh, which is an increase of over 70 percent compared to the same month in the previous year (November 2013: 103.6 TWh). This is the highest monthly volume in 2014. Furthermore, it represents the second highest volume that has ever been traded in this market which is just under the current record of 177.9 TWh traded in September 2013.

ESMA Consults On AIFMD Asset Segregation Requirements
The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has published today a consultation paper on the AIFMD asset segregation requirements.
This consultation paper sets out ESMA’s proposals for possible guidelines regarding the asset segregation requirements in case of delegation of safe-keeping duties by the appointed depositary of an AIF. -

- The equity trading volume to the end of November was up 25% on the year
- The number of trades in the first 11 months exceeded 64.9 million, up 47% year-on-year.
- ETF trading volume to the end of November grows 131% from the same period last year
- The trading volume in Derivatives in the first eleven months was up 3.8% year-on-year
- Corporate Debt trading exceeded €1 billion. Public Debt Trading on SEND increased two-fold.
