The misdeeds of the respondents in this case have been well established.[1] In making pitches for investment advisory services to large audiences on multiple occasions, the respondents touted an approach called “Buckets of Money,” a catchy name for a re-balancing strategy. Unfortunately, the Commission majority has taken a relatively straightforward set of facts and needlessly engaged in “rulemaking by opinion.” For that reason, we dissent from the majority opinion.

ESMA Adds Index CDS To Central Clearing Obligation

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has today finalised and issued a draft regulatory technical standard (RTS) for the central clearing of Credit Default Swaps (CDS), ESMA is required to develop RTS which implement the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR). The draft RTS defines the types of CDS contracts which will have to be centrally cleared, the types of counterparties covered by the obligation and the dates by which central clearing of CDS will become mandatory.

• The value of trade on the Electronic Order Book in equities on the Main Market was PLN 17.0 billion in September 2015, a decrease of 13.6% year on year
• The volume of trade in index futures was 525.9 thousand contracts, a decrease of 12.2% year on year
• The total value of trading in equities on NewConnect stood at PLN 195.1 million in September 2015, an increase of 154.2% year on year
• The total volume of spot and forward transactions in electricity decreased by 2.8% year on year to 13.6 TWh in September 2015
• The volume of trading in property rights increased by 65.1% year on year to 4.6 TWh in September 2015
• The total volume of spot and forward trading in gas stood at 86.5 TWh in January-September 2015, an increase of 34.9% year on year

EPEX SPOT: 15-Minute Contracts On Austrian Intraday Market Launched With Success - 108.75 MWh Of Power Traded On First Day

Trading of 15-minute contracts on the continuous Intraday power market in Austria has successfully started on 1 October 2015. 108.75 MWh were traded on the first day, including 42.4 MWh across borders, taking advantage of the existing liquidity on the German and Swiss 15-minute continuous trading.
