SGX: MSCI Singapore Index Futures Contract Starts Trading In Smaller Size And Finer Ticks

- On 2 November, the contract multiplier and minimum tick size for the MSCI Singapore IndexSM Futures (SiMSCI Futures) contract has been halved to S$100 and 0.05 index points respectively. Initial margins have also been reduced to S$1,540 per contract.
- The change provides more accessibility of the SiMSCI Futures and allow market participants to construct a more efficient hedge to their Singapore equity exposure.
- The SiMSCI Index staged a strong performance in October, chalking up returns above that of other developed markets’ indices. Higher historical volatility seen recently in the SIMSCI index triggered increased interest in SiMSCI Futures.

Deutsche Börse Cash Market: New Source Equity Index ETF Launched On Xetra - ETF Offers Access To US S&P 500 Companies

A new equity index fund from the ETF offering issued by Source has been available on Xetra and the Börse Frankfurt venue since Monday. The ETF tracks the performance of the S&P 500 Index using a selection of companies comprised in it.

On Thursday last week, 29 October 2015, the General Assembly of Europex held a regular meeting in Prague. On this occasion, the Chairperson, a new Board and the Heads of the Working Groups were elected for the next two-‐year mandate running from 1 January 2016 to 31 December 2017. In addition, a number of current issues that are of particular interest to Europex, like the debate on a new electricity market design, MiFID II Level 2, the recently updated Gas Target Model and the further development of the Guarantees of Origin system, were discussed by the members.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) , Mr. Nader Azar, said that according to the listing securities Directives for the year 2012; all companies listed at the ASE should submit their quarterly reports reviewed by their auditors within one month of the end of the relevant quarter. Noting that the listed companies at the ASE are (230) companies; including (14) companies suspended from trading.
