Federal Court Orders Cindy And Paul Vandivier To Pay Civil Monetary Penalties And Restitution Of Almost $3 Million To Settle CFTC Charges Of Operating An Illegal, Off-Exchange Precious Metals Scheme - The Vandiviers Were Also Charged With Misappropriating Virtually All Of Customer Funds, Using The Money For Office And Personal Expenses

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) obtained a federal court Consent Order imposing a permanent injunction against CFTC Defendants Cindy Vandivier and Paul Vandivier of Coconut Creek, Florida. The Court’s Order requires the Vandiviers to each pay a $1 million civil monetary penalty and jointly to pay $986,763 in restitution to defrauded customers to settle CFTC charges of fraudulently soliciting customers and misappropriating customer funds in connection with illegal, off-exchange transactions in precious metals. Cindy Vandivier is the wife of Paul Vandivier.

ACER Publishes A Report With Main Voluntary Achievements Towards The Single EU Energy Market

CER publishes today the latest edition of its Regional Initiatives Status Review Report updating on the progress made on voluntary regional and cross-regional market integration. The reports highlights important milestones such as the early implementation of the European Harmonised Allocation Rules (HAR) for the electricity market. The report also shows the progress made in the pilot projects in different gas areas such as implementation of the third package and Network Codes (NC) and market integration. Furthermore, the report describes the obstacles faced in 2015 and the challenges ahead with regard to the early implementation process of the Network Codes and Guidelines.

We need to consider how to approach other systemic financial institutions like central counterparty clearing houses, or CCPs. We have required more clearing to go through central counter parties. That's good for transparency and will reduce risk. But now, if we are going to rely more on CCPs, we also need to put in place a system so that we can resolve them if anything goes wrong.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) and international research firm, Edison Investment Research, today announced an agreement for the analysis of technology and biomed companies listed on the TASE. This agreement is the first of its kind and forms part of the analysis project promoted by the Committee for Promotion of Investments in Research and Development traded companies (the R&D Committee). The goal is to encourage investment in these companies by removing the barrier of a lack of understanding in the market.
