PEGAS Volumes Increase 45% Year-On-Year

The pan-European gas trading platform PEGAS registered a total volume of 133.1 TWh in March 2016, exceeding the volume traded last year by 45% (March 2015: 91.9 TWh). The increase was driven by volume increases on the spot market with 56.8 TWh (March 2015: 41.2 TWh) as well as on the futures market with 76.3 TWh (March 2015: 50.7 TWh).

- In March the ETFs trading volume reached €751.4 million, with a 12% increase in the number of trades
- The traded volume in IBEX 35 Futures in the first three months was up 3% year-on-year
- New issues on the Corporate Debt market in March reached €26.4 billion, up 40% from the same period last year

Japan's Financial Services Agency: Establishment Of The Global Financial Partnership Center (GLOPAC)

The Financial Services Agency of Japan (“FSA”) established the the Global Financial Partnership Center (“GLOPAC”), as a successor organization of the Asian Financial Partnership Center (“AFPAC”) launched in April 2014. The objectives of the GLOPAC are to address the issues related to the global financial markets, to effectively conduct financial sector technical assistance for infrastructure development, and to further strengthen cooperative relationships with financial authorities around the world.
