GPW Introduces New Segmentation Of NewConnect

- The new segmentation of NewConnect is one of the main elements of the NewConnect 2.0 project which aims to improve trade safety and market transparency.
- After 28 September 2016, the segments NC Lead, NC HLR and NC SHLR will be replaced by the segments NC Focus, NC Base and NC Alert.
- The classification criteria for companies in the NCIndex will be modified while NCIndex30 will no longer be calculated or published.

Financial Stability Oversight Council Announces Rescission Of Nonbank Financial Company Designation - Council Votes To Rescind Designation Of GE Capital

The Financial Stability Oversight Council (Council) today announced that it has voted to rescind its determination that material financial distress at GE Capital Global Holdings, LLC (GE Capital) could pose a threat to U.S. financial stability and that GE Capital should be subject to supervision by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and enhanced prudential standards. The Council unanimously determined that GE Capital no longer meets the standards for a determination, with one member recused.

Today the Chamber of Digital Commerce (“Chamber”) announces the appointment of Mark Wetjen of The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (“DTCC”) to its Board of Advisors. In addition, DTCC has joined the Chamber’s Executive Committee. Mr. Wetjen currently serves as the Head of Global Public Policy at the DTCC, the world’s leading post-trade market infrastructure for the global financial services industry, processing nearly $1.5 quadrillion worth of securities transactions in 2015. Prior to DTCC, Mr. Wetjen served as Commissioner at the U.S. Commodity and Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

The build will include the key FX marketplaces of London, New York and Tokyo with a presence in Equinix LD4, NY4 and TY3. The project will initially focus on LD4, with the plan to be fully functioning in Q4 2016.

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has publicly censured Bank of America, National Association (BANA) and Merrill Lynch International (MLI), units of the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Group (BofAML Group), as a result of their failure to disclose dealings in relevant securities in two transactions (Transactions) in 2015 as required under the Code on Takeovers and Mergers (Takeovers Code).
