Vienna Stock Exchange: UBM Switches To Top Segment Prime Market

The stocks of UBM DEVELOPMENT AG will start trading on the prime market – the premium segment of the Vienna SE – as of Monday, 22 August 2016. UBM DEVELOPMENT AG has been listed on the standard market up to now. With the switch to the prime market, the company agrees to comply with the more stringent transparency, quality and disclosure criteria. As of next week, the number of companies listed on the prime market will total 40. Additional liquidity in UBM’s order book will be ensured by Erste Group Bank AG acting as a specialist and by the two market makers Kepler Cheuvreux and Baader Bank AG. 

Oslo Børs Imposes A Violation Charge On Oxxy Group PLC

At its meeting on 17 August 2016, Oslo Børs resolved to impose a violation charge on Oxxy Group PLC of NOK 1,000,000 for not disclosing material information in the admission process. The information was first disclosed three months after the company had been admitted to trading on Merkur Market.

Financial market developments

The Vice-President reviewed the latest financial market developments, in the absence of Mr Cœuré.

The most significant event since the previous monetary policy meeting of the Governing Council on 1-2 June 2016 had been the outcome of the UK referendum on membership of the European Union on 23 June. Although the outcome had led to a significant decline in government bond yields, overall the consequences had thus far been less marked than many had anticipated.
