The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) welcomes the re-appointment by the Financial Secretary of Ms Julia Leung as Executive Director (Intermediaries), with an additional role of Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the SFC for three years with effect from today.

Moscow Exchange Announces Results For The Full Year 2017

Moscow Exchange (MOEX) today announces its financial results in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for the year ended 31 December 2017. Higher trading volumes in the Bond Market and Money Market, supported by solid performance of Depository and Settlement Services, helped the Exchange achieve record fee and commission income.
ASIC Takes Action Against Rio Tinto And Its Former CEO And CFO For Misleading And Deceptive Conduct

ASIC has commenced legal proceedings in the Federal Court in Sydney today against Rio Tinto Limited (RTL) and its former Chief Executive Officer, Mr Thomas Albanese, and its former Chief Financial Officer, Mr Guy Elliott. The proceedings relate to statements which ASIC alleges were misleading or deceptive contained in the RTL annual report for 2011 which was signed on 5 March 2012 and published on 16 March 2012.
