Although the worldwide political situation continues to be characterized by risks and uncertainties, the stock markets are performing positive in general. The top performer on country level in October was the Japanese stock market, which was, in part, driven by the reelection of Shinzō Abe as Prime Minister. The publication of the strong quarterly figures of tech-companies such as Amazon, Microsoft and Alphabet pushed the technology sector to the top in industry comparison and had a positive influence on the US stock market in general.
ESMA Updates Its Q&As On MiFID II/MiFIR Investor Protection Topics

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has added 4 new Q&As to its Questions and Answers (Q&A) document on the implementation of investor protection topics under the Market in Financial Instruments Directive and Regulation (MiFID II/ MiFIR). The new Q&As cover the topics of post-sale reporting, record keeping, and inducements.

The price differential of the Good Delivery material for the November 2017 contract month in the Rubber market has be determined as follows,

Pursuant to the provisions of Article 2.2 of the Rubber Delivery Detailed Rules, the price differential between the Good Delivery materials RSS No.3 and the non-standard grade RSS No.4 for the November 2017 contract month shall be -3.0 yen/kg.

The Financial Conduct Authority has today announced that Capita Financial Managers Limited (CFM) has been publicly censured and will pay up to £66 million to those investors who suffered loss as a result of investing in the Guaranteed Low Risk Income Fund, Series 1 (or as it became later known, the Connaught Income Fund, Series 1) (“the Fund”), which is now in liquidation. The payment will be made via the FCA.
