CFTC Staff Extends Time-Limited No-Action Relief On The Applicability Of Transaction-Level Requirements In Certain Cross-Border Situations

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) Divisions of Swap Dealer and Intermediary Oversight (DSIO), Clearing and Risk, and Market Oversight (Divisions) today issued a time-limited no-action letter that extends relief to swap dealers (SDs) registered with the CFTC that are established under the laws of jurisdictions other than the United States (Non-U.S. SDs) from certain transaction-level requirements under the Commodity Exchange Act.

Nasdaq (Nasdaq:NDAQ), the single largest U.S. equity exchange by market share, announced 14 new exchange-traded product (ETP) listings from five issuers during the second quarter of 2017. Nasdaq now has a total of 348 products listed from 39 issuers as of June 30, 2017. Overall, Nasdaq listed ETPs gained more than $20B in new assets between the first quarter and second quarter of 2017, of which, $1B in asset growth can be attributed to 2016’s newly listed products.

The index will consist of the top 50 Israeli bond series Included in the Tel Bond-Shekel Index The index will not include bonds of foreign companies TASE estimates high demand for the index. On July 20th, 2017, The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) Board of Directors approved the launch of a new Fixed Income index, the Tel Bond Shekel-50. The index will consist of the top 50 bond series issued by Israeli companies (incorporated in Israel) or by foreign companies with strong Israeli orientation (as determined by the Index Committee), which are included in the Tel Bond Shekel index.
