SEC Names Peter Henry As Director Of The Office Of Equal Employment Opportunity

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that Peter Henry has been named Director of the agency’s Office of Equal Employment Opportunity (OEEO). Mr. Henry joined the SEC as OEEO Deputy Director in 2014, and has been serving as the office’s Acting Director since 2016.

SEC Warns Of Government Impersonators

The Securities and Exchange Commission today issued an Investor Alert warning investors of fraudsters claiming to be SEC employees in an attempt to trick investors into sending money or revealing sensitive account information. The alert makes clear that the SEC does not contact investors to confirm trades, set up trading accounts, or record the details of trades. The alert also notes that federal government agencies, including the SEC, do not endorse or sponsor any particular securities, issuers, products, services, professional credentials, firms, or individuals.

The board of directors of The Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) approved (March 29, 2018) the launch of a new equity index in conjunction with the Ministry of Economy and Industry. The new index - TA-Industrials Index - comprises more than 80 listed companies from various industry sectors across the board and will facilitate investment in the growth opportunities inherent in Israeli industry. The Ministry of Economy and Industry and TASE expect the index to provide private industrial companies with a further incentive to consider non-banking and non-governmental financing channels in order to attract investors through IPO on the Israeli stock exchange

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) today released a list of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) performance evaluations that became public during the period of March 1, 2018 through March 31, 2018. The list contains only national banks, federal savings associations, and insured federal branches of foreign banks that have received ratings. The possible ratings are outstanding, satisfactory, needs to improve, and substantial noncompliance.
