Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman today announced a $220 million, 45-state settlement with Deutsche Bank for fraudulent conduct involving the manipulation of U.S. Dollar (USD) LIBOR (the London Interbank Offered Rate) and other benchmark interest rates. Benchmark interest rates affect financial instruments worth trillions of dollars and have a widespread impact on global markets and consumers because LIBOR may determine how much they will be paid on their investments. New York and California led the working group of State Attorneys General investigating Deutsche Bank.

Office Of Financial Research Update: Two New Monitoring Tools, The Financial System Vulnerabilities Monitor (FSVM) And The Financial Stress Index (FSI)

The OFR introduced today two new monitoring tools, the Financial System Vulnerabilities Monitor (FSVM) and the Financial Stress Index (FSI). The FSVM is a heat map of 58 indicators of potential vulnerabilities. It gives early warning signals for further investigation. The FSI, constructed from 33 financial market indicators, is a daily market-based snapshot of stress in global financial markets.

The Board of Directors of Nasdaq, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ) has declared a regular quarterly dividend of $0.38 per share on the company's outstanding common stock. The dividend is payable on December 29, 2017 to shareowners of record at the close of business on December 15, 2017. Future declarations of quarterly dividends and the establishment of future record and payment dates are subject to approval by the Board of Directors.

On the basis of brokerage houses’ demands, Borsa İstanbul A.Ş. Board of Directors decided to initiate the buy-back process. In line with regulations in Turkey, the approval of the regulatory body Capital Markets Board of Turkey was secured. On June 8, 2017 during Ordinary General Assembly Meeting, the Board was authorized for buying back 335,828,929 shares in exchange of maximum 50 million TRY, for a year. As a result, share transfers and payments were realized.
