Changes On The Central Securities Depository Of Poland Management Board

The Supervisory Board of Krajowy Depozyt Papierów Wartościowych (KDPW, The Central Securities Depository of Poland) has appointed Mr Maciej Trybuchowski as President of the KDPW Management Board as of 10 September 2018. The Supervisory Board has appointed Mr Paweł Górecki as Vice-President of the KDPW Management Board as of 6 August 2018.

Third ACER Report On The Implementation Of The Gas Balancing Network Code Available

The Agency publishes today its third Report on the implementation of the Balancing Network Code. The Report presents findings and recommendations for seven balancing zones. The Agency invites interested parties to use the Agency’s Balancing Analytical Framework and carry out their own analysis. The Agency invites stakeholders to provide feedback on how to improve the Framework.

Committed Transactions Market of Sukuk (CTM) is launched within Borsa İstanbul at July 2, 2018 and trading of lease certificates commenced. CTM operates in accordance with working principles of participation banks and other banks are also eligible to trading.

• The average daily turnover for the first seven months of 2018 was $121.1 billion, an increase of 56 per cent when compared with $77.4 billion for the same period last year.
• The average daily turnover of derivative warrants for the first seven months of 2018 was $17.3 billion, an increase of 66 per cent when compared with $10.4 billion for the same period last year.
• The average daily turnover of CBBCs for the first seven months of 2018 was $7.5 billion, an increase of 83 per cent when compared with $4.1 billion for the same period last year.
• Funds raised through IPOs for the first seven months of 2018 was $118.4 billion, an increase of 66 per cent when compared with $71.4 billion for the same period last year.
• Total funds raised for the first seven months of 2018 was $272.9 billion, an increase of 35 per cent when compared with $202.0 billion for the same period last year.
• There were 142* newly listed companies for the first seven months of 2018, an increase of 41 per cent when compared with 101* for the same period last year.

Since the beginning of this year, SZSE has continued to promote the reform of the trading suspension and resumption system, resolutely curb the phenomenon of "free trading suspension", "arbitrary trading suspension" and "long-term trading suspension", and earnestly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of investors, such as trading rights and right to know. Under the joint efforts of all parties involved in the market, the number of shares suspended by the SZSE-listed companies has decreased significantly recently, and new changes have occurred in the trading suspension and resumption in mergers and acquisitions.
