The European Banking Authority (EBA) welcomed the National Bank of Moldova as an additional signatory party to the Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with banking supervisory authorities in several South-Eastern European (SEE) countries. The MoC was signed in 2015 to establish a framework for cooperation and information exchange.

FSB Publishes Global Monitoring Report On Non-Bank Financial Intermediation 2018

The Financial Stability Board (FSB) today published the Global Monitoring Report on Non-Bank Financial Intermediation 2018. The report presents the results of the FSB’s eighth annual monitoring exercise that assesses global trends and risks from non-bank financial intermediation. It covers data up to end-2017 from 29 jurisdictions, which together represent over 80% of global GDP.

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has agreed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the Bank of England (BoE) for the recognition of central counterparties (CCPs) and of the central securities depository (CSD) established in the United Kingdom (UK), that would take effect should the UK leave the European Union (EU) without a withdrawal agreement, the no-deal Brexit scenario.

Non-Jordanian Ownership At The Amman Stock Exchange Reached 51.6%

The total value of shares that were bought by non-Jordanian investors in January 2019 was JD 26.3 million, representing 29.0% of the overall trading value, while the value of shares sold by them amounted to JD 26.1 million. As a result, the net of non-Jordanian investments in January2019 showed an increase by JD 0.2 million, compared with a decrease by JD 7.3 million during the same month of 2018.
