ACER Publishes A No-Action Letter To Further Extend The Relief Reporting Contacts Upon The Request Of The Agency

The Agency published yesterday a No-action Letter, thus extending the relief on the requirement to report, upon the Agency’s reasoned request, the contracts and details of transactions in relation to the contracts listed in the European Commission Implementing Regulation on data reporting on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency:
- Intragroup contracts.
- Contracts for physical delivery of electricity produced by a single production unit with a capacity equal to or less than 10 MW or by production units with a combined capacity equal to or less than 10 MW.
- Contracts for the physical delivery of natural gas produced by a single natural gas production facility with a production capacity equal to or less than 20 MW.
- Contracts for balancing services in electricity and natural gas.

HKEX Chief Executive Charles Li has published his latest blog on listing reform in Hong Kong, where he makes the case for changes to the Main Board to welcome new economy companies with weighted voting rights structures and pre-revenue firms from the biotech and life sciences sectors. Li says the changes are necessary to make the Hong Kong capital market more reflective of the drivers of the new global economy, and ensure Hong Kong’s relevance and competitiveness.

SIX: Legal Certainty For "Terravis" Electronic Land Information System

In their concluding vote on 15 December 2017, Swiss legislators approved the planned amendment to the Swiss Civil Code (ZGB) on the modernisation and digitalisation of the Swiss civil registry and the land registry. SIX welcomes this decision as it creates legal certainty for the existing "Terravis" electronic land information system operated by SIX to which 14 Swiss cantons are already linked up. From the perspective of SIX, this decision also sends out a positive signal for Switzerland's eGovernment strategy and for entrepreneurs in the private sector wishing to offer self-funded solutions at the interface between the public and private sectors.

Deutsche Börse and the specialists active on the Frankfurt trading floor today announced the proceeds raised from the “Trading Charity – Handeln und Helfen” (Trade and Help) event on the Frankfurt stock exchange floor – a grand total of €135,000. Deutsche Börse will donate €75,000 of this amount to the “Hilfe für krebskranke Kinder Frankfurt e.V.” and the specialists €60,000 to “Frankfurter Förderverein zur Bekämpfung von Tumorerkrankungen”. After accepting the funds, representatives from the two organisations opened trading on the Frankfurt stock exchange trading floor by ringing the traditional bell.
