My Lord Mayor, My Late Lord Mayor, Your Grace, My Lord Chancellor, Your Excellencies, My Lords, Aldermen, Sheriffs, Chief Commoner, ladies and gentlemen, this weekend our country came together to commemorate the centenary of the Armistice.

Gathering around memorials across the length and breadth of the land, people of every faith and background stopped and stood together to remember the sacrifice of a generation.

A sacrifice that touched almost every family and every community – including this one, when in 1915, the then Lord Mayor raised the “Bankers Battalion” of the Royal Fusiliers.

From the stories we have heard, to the names we have read, their memories live on engrained in our national consciousness. And will do so, rightly, for evermore.

We will remember them.

Brasil, Bolsa, Balcão (B3) and Shanghai Stock Exchange officially launch market data cooperation. SSE InfoNet Co., Ltd. (InfoNet), the wholly owned subsidiary of Shanghai Stock Exchange, together with its subsidiary in Hong Kong-China Investment Information Services Limited (CIIS) will act as the administer and official distributor of B3 market data in mainland China.

The global market global market of the Vienna Stock Exchange continues to grow. The second largest segment of the Vienna Stock Exchange is being expanded with attractive listings of the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ. US stocks and global shares of the two largest stock exchanges worldwide - by the value of the listed companies – can now be traded in Vienna. These include the lifestyle brand Fossil, the discount provider Groupon, the PC and printer manufacturer Hewlett Packard as well as the internet company Match Group, the hotel search engine Trivago and many others. In total, more than 580 securities from 24 countries are now tradable on the Vienna Stock Exchange. 

B3 Offsets Its Greenhouse Gas Emissions For The Seventh Consecutive Year

B3 has offset 4,790 tons of CO2 equivalent for its 2017 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions not liable to be reduced, thus becoming a "carbon neutral" company for another year. To offset this amount of CO2, carbon credits – called CERs (Certified Emission Reductions) – generated under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of the Kyoto Protocol were purchased. The initiative has been in place since 2013, 2011 and 2012 base years, and since then this process has been performed on a yearly basis.

Back in 2012 the world was still reeling from the financial crisis and the street seemed transfixed on the future of buy-side coverage at the big banks. Just like crypto today, this dominated the headlines and opinion across conferences and the media. The prediction was that what the buy-side wanted was a single point of contact into each of their brokers and that these people needed to manage both high and low touch order flows. At face value this seemed to make sense – after all, what buy-side needs multiple contacts at a single firm? And, as a broker, why not consolidate coverage to a single person? At the same time this idea also played to the overall direction of travel related to improving efficiency.
