DIFC Announced Proposed New Companies Regulations, Operating Law And Regulations And Ultimate Beneficial Ownership Regulations For Public Consultation

Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the leading international financial hub in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region, has proposed the enactment of legislation to enhance the regulation of the conduct of business in the DIFC, bringing it in line with international best practice and the global trend towards transparency and accountability. In doing so, DIFC Authority has taken into account specific factors relating to the DIFC and the need to provide an appropriate regulatory environment for businesses to operate in or from the Centre.

TMX Group Prices Private Placement Offering Of C$200 Million 3.779% Senior Unsecured Debentures Due 2028

TMX Group Limited ("TMX Group") today announced that it has priced a Canadian private placement offering ("the Offering") of C$200 million aggregate principal amount of 3.779% Series E Senior Unsecured Debentures due June 5, 2028 (the "Debentures") to accredited investors in Canada. The Debentures will be direct senior unsecured and unsubordinated obligations of TMX Group and will rank pari passu with all other senior unsecured and unsubordinated indebtedness of TMX Group.

ETFGI, a leading independent research and consultancy firm on trends in the global ETF/ETP ecosystem, reported today that ETFs and ETPs listed in Canada gathered US$502.72 Mn in net inflows in April 2018, the lowest since September 2017 which suffered US$12.77 Mn. YTD 2018 net inflows are at US$6.56 Bn which is slightly more than the US$6.46 Bn in net inflows at this point last year. (All dollar values in USD unless otherwise noted.)

Monetary Authority Of Singapore Warns Digital Token Exchanges And ICO Issuer

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has warned eight digital token exchanges in Singapore not to facilitate trading in digital tokens that are securities or futures contracts without MAS’ authorisation. It also warned an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) issuer to stop the offering of its digital tokens in Singapore.
