ACER: Gas Wholesale Market Integration Continues, Modest Decrease Of Average Retail Prices For Households

The Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) publishes today two volumes of the latest joint ACER-CEER Annual Report on the Results of Monitoring the Internal Electricity and Natural Gas Markets: the gas wholesale and the first part of the retail volumes. Among other findings, the reports indicate that in general the security of supply of the European gas system is high and that in 2017 prices for households in the EU decreased on average for the second year in a row for both electricity and gas.

maincubes, a European data center owner/operator providing ‘made-in-Germany’ colocation data center infrastructure for customers worldwide, part of German construction conglomerate Zech Group, today announces the commissioning and availability of two large ‘wholesale’ suites at its recently opened data center in the Amsterdam area in the Netherlands – a 47,361 sq. ft. (4,400 sq. meter) facility totaling 4.7MW of IT power. maincubes has a 11,840 sq. ft. (1,100 sq. meter) private data center suite available with a capacity of 1.7MW. The other private suite being offered in Amsterdam counts 9,687 sq. ft. (900 sq. meter) and is able to support 1.3MW.

The World Federation Of Exchanges Admits Six New Members

At the 58th General Assembly in Athens today, the World Federation of Exchanges ("WFE"), the global industry group for exchanges and CCPs, admitted six new members taking the total number of full members to 70, an historic high. With six members joining since the last General Assembly in 2017, the WFE now represents more than 200 market infrastructure providers.
