Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission And ICAC Search Sponsor Firms

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has conducted a joint operation with the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) which involved a search of the offices of two sponsor firms.  The SFC conducted the search using its powers under the Securities and Futures Ordinance (SFO).

The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision today released a revised treatment of client cleared derivatives for purposes of the leverage ratio. The Basel Committee also issued a revision to the leverage ratio disclosure requirements with the aim of reducing excessive volatility in banks' exposures around key reference dates.
