EBA Consults On Guidelines On ICT And Security Risk Management

The European Banking Authority (EBA) today launched a consultation on its draft Guidelines on ICT and security risk management. These Guidelines establish requirements for credit institutions, investment firms and payment service providers (PSPs) on the mitigation and management of their information and communication technology (ICT) risks and aim to ensure a consistent and robust approach across the Single market. The consultation runs until 13 March 2019.

EEX Publishes Auction Calendar For Poland For 2019

The European Energy Exchange (EEX) has published the calendar for the 2019 Polish auctions of EU allowances (EUA) and EU aviation allowances (EUAA) for Poland. The calendar was established in coordination with the the Polish Ministry of the Environment and the European Commission.

I understand that the planned discussion regarding disclosures on human capital will be postponed to a later date. I believe that the strength of many of our public companies is due, often in large part, to their human capital, and I therefore appreciate that the Committee is focusing on these disclosures. Jeffrey Minton, Office Of The Chief Accountant Chief Counsel, To Retire From The SEC After 20 Years Of Service

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that Jeffrey Minton, Office of the Chief Accountant (OCA)'s Chief Counsel, will be retiring from the agency next month after more than 20 years of service at the SEC, with over half of that time spent in his role in OCA.

"The approval of the technical standards for the reporting rules of SFTR fires the starting gun on the countdown to the implementation of this new regulation which we expect to take place in just over a year's time."
