Tokyo Commodity Exchange July 2019 Market Summary - TOCOM July Daily Volume Averaged 85,667 Contracts, Down 14.6% M-o-M

The Tokyo Commodity Exchange announced today that July 2019 average daily volume was 85,667 contracts, down 14.6% from June and down 0.1% from July 2018. Volume increased for some of TOCOM’s most active contracts, such as Platinum Standard, which grew 11.8% from the prior month to 12,616 contracts, while RSS3 Rubber increased 9.7% to 5,513 contracts. Other contracts saw declines, such as Gold Standard, which was down 20.0% to 43,172, Gold Rolling Spot, which decreased 27.8% to 6,430 and Dubai Crude Oil, which fell 11.6% to 9,751 contracts.

The price differential of the Good Delivery material for the August 2019 contract month in the Rubber market has be determined as follows,
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 2.2 of the Rubber Delivery Detailed Rules, the price differential between the Good Delivery materials RSS No.3 and the non-standard grade RSS No.4 for the August 2019 contract month shall be -3.0 yen/kg.

Pursuant to the provisions of Article 6.10 of the Rubber Delivery Detailed Rules, the Freight Charge Spread of delivery of the August-2019 and September-2019 contract months in TOCOM designated warehouses located in Aichi prefecture shall be JPY 8 between Tokyo-Nagoya.

Nadex Adjusts Strike Width For US Indices Binary Contracts

Pursuant to Section 5c(c)(1) of the Commodity Exchange Act and Commission Regulation §40.6(d)(2)(iv), Nadex is providing notice that due to increased volatility in the underlying markets upon which the Nadex US Indices contracts are based, Nadex adjusted the strike width for its Daily US Tech 100 Binary contracts from 6 to 12, its Daily Wall Street 30 Binary contracts from 20 to 40, its Daily US 500 Binary contracts from 3 to 6, and its Daily US SmallCap 2000 from 2 to 4. The changes began on August 5, 2019 and continued through August 9, 2019.
