Nadex Refrains From Listing Certain Contracts

Due to activity in the underlying markets upon which the Nadex contracts are based and pursuant to the authority granted in Nadex Rule 12.1(i), Nadex took the following actions:

No Daily, Weekly or Intraday Natural Gas Binary contracts will be listed for the week of April 27, 2020;

No Weekly FTSE 100 or Germany 30 Binary contracts will be listed for the week of April 27, 2020.

No GBP/JPY or GBP/USD 5-Minute Intraday Currency Binary contracts were listed for the 6:05pm ET expiration time on trade date April 30, 2020.

No GBP/JPY 5-Minute Intraday Currency Binary contracts were listed for the 6:05pm ET expiration time on trade date May 1, 2020.

IMF Executive Board Approves A US$91 Million Disbursement Under The Rapid Credit Facility For Malawi

- The International Monetary Fund approved a disbursement of US$91 million under the Rapid Credit Facility to help Malawi meet the urgent balance of payment (BOP) needs stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.
- The pandemic is expected to have a significant impact on Malawi including affecting the near-term economic outlook, which has deteriorated significantly.
- The authorities have proactively responded to the pandemic with a national response plan—supported by the World Health Organization and other development partners—and measures to preserve macroeconomic stability while protecting the vulnerable.

Nadex Temporarily Amends Binary Contracts Strike Width

Pursuant to Section 5c(c)(1) of the Commodity Exchange Act, as amended (“Act”), and Section 40.6(d) of the regulations promulgated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (the “Commission”) under the Act (the “Regulations”), North American Derivatives Exchange, Inc. (“Nadex”, the “Exchange”) hereby provides notice that due to increased volatility in the underlying markets upon which the Nadex contracts are based, Nadex made changes to the strike widths of various contracts during the week of April 27, 2020 as indicated in the Weekly Notice.

OCC April 2020 Total Volume Up 42.9 Percent From A Year Ago

OCC, the world’s largest equity derivatives clearing organization, announced today that April 2020 total cleared contract volume was 551,538,080 contracts, up 42.9 percent from April 2019. OCC’s year-to-date average daily total cleared contract volume is 27,865,203 contracts.

Federal Reserve Board Finalizes Rule To Extend By 18 Months The Initial Compliance Dates For Certain Parts Of Its Single-Counterparty Credit Limit Rule

The Federal Reserve Board on Friday finalized a rule to extend by 18 months the initial compliance dates for certain parts of its single-counterparty credit limit rule. The extension, which is unchanged from the proposal, applies to the combined U.S. operations of foreign banks and provides additional time for foreign jurisdictions' implementation of the standard to become effective.
