DGCX Trades Over 3 Million Contracts In A Month For The First Time - Exchange Breaks All-Time Monthly Volumes Record For Second Consecutive Month

The Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) in August traded over 3 million contracts in a month for the first time ever, smashing its previous record of 2.38 million contracts set in July. The 3.22 million lots traded and cleared in August were valued at USD 52.72 billion, also an all time record.

The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) today approved settlement agreements with Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and The Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD) related to compliance failures in the banks’ foreign exchange (FX) trading businesses. These failures allowed RBC and TD FX traders to share confidential customer information in chatrooms with FX traders at competitor firms.
