Dalian Commodity Exchange: One Month After Polished Round-Grained Rice Futures Listed, Operation Conforms To Market Expectation

The polished round-grained rice futures was listed for trading on Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) on August 16. Over the past one month, the polished round-grained rice futures has presented rational and smooth market operation, effective and reasonable pricing, and active participation of various types of clients. Market participants generally believe that the polished round-grained rice futures has shown stable operation and moderate liquidity in the first month and its price trend has reflected the fundamentals in the polished round-grained rice spot market on the whole, conforming to market expectation on the whole.

Global Survey Shows 74% Are Aware Of The Sustainable Development Goals

- 74% of adults globally are aware of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- Great Britain and Japan rank lowest in terms of familiarity, with 51% having never heard of them; 50% of respondents in the United States have never heard of the SDGs; in comparison, 92% of respondents in Turkey have heard of them
- The top-ranked SDGs are those related to humanitarian human needs, including zero hunger, clean water and good health

TAIFEX To Launch First Offshore Nasdaq-100 Index Futures Contract

The Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) will launch the world’s first offshore Nasdaq-100 index futures on 30 September 2019. Denominated in Taiwan dollars, this new futures contract is based on the Nasdaq-100 index, which is sub-licensed by CME Group for listing on TAIFEX. One of the world’s most frequently-cited technology indexes, the Nasdaq 100® tracks the 100 largest non- financial companies listed on Nasdaq, complementing closely with the strong technology-focus of TAIFEX’s most popular trading products, including TAIEX Futures and TAIEX Options.
