Recently, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) has completed the drafting of the "SSE Detailed Implementation Rules for Shareholding Lessening by Shareholders of Companies Listed on SSE STAR Market through Non-public Transfer and Allotment (Draft)" (the "Detailed Implementation Rules" for short), and made them public to solicit opinions in the market. An SSE official has answered questions about the drafting background, logic and main institutional arrangements for the “Detailed Implementation Rules".

SEC Charges Former Financial Services Executive With FCPA Violations

The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged a former executive of a financial services company with orchestrating a bribery scheme to help a client to win a government contract to build and operate an electrical power plant in the Republic of Ghana in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).

IMF Executive Board Approves Immediate Debt Relief For 25 Countries

Ms. Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) issued the following statement:
“Today, I am pleased to say that our Executive Board approved immediate debt service relief to 25 of the IMF’s member countries under the IMF’s revamped Catastrophe Containment and Relief Trust (CCRT) as part of the Fund’s response to help address the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic."

Due to sustained market volatility, MIAX Options will continue to use the Settlement Reference Price Opening Width and Valid and Priority Quote Width tables detailed in MIAX Regulatory Circular 2020-11 for opening the SPY May 15, 2020 options used in the April 15, 2020 SPIKES Special Settlement Auction.

Nodal Exchange Successfully Migrates Natural Gas Open Interest From Nasdaq Futures, Inc.

Nodal Exchange announced today that it successfully migrated natural gas futures and options contracts open interest from Nasdaq Futures, Inc. (NFX) to Nodal Clear, Nodal Exchange’s clearing house, pursuant to the agreement announced in November 2019 whereby Nodal purchased core assets of NFX’s futures and options exchange business. 818,737,500 million British Thermal Units (MMBtu) were migrated this morning to Nodal Exchange. This is the energy equivalent of 240 million MWh and represented about 94,000 lots. Nodal Exchange previously migrated 91 million MWh of power futures and options on February 6, 2020 which represented all of the NFX North American power open interest (except for current month expiries by design).

Superintendent of Financial Services Linda A. Lacewell announced today that Athene Holding Ltd. will pay a $45 million penalty to New York State for New York Insurance Law violations related to its subsidiary Athene Annuity & Life Company (“Athene”) and its pension risk transfer business. The New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS) uncovered that Athene solicited and did insurance business in New York without a license.
