Sha Yan Appointed As President & CEO Of Shenzhen Stock Exchange

According to the decision of the Party Committee of China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), Sha Yan would serve as the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) and President & CEO of SZSE.

On 24 July 2020, the European Commission (EC) announced the “Capital Markets Recovery Package”, as part of the its overall coronavirus recovery strategy, aimed at making it easier for capital markets to support European businesses in their recovery from the fallout from the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. To this end the EC proposes changes to capital market rules, including a reduction of investor protection levels.

On July 25, the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, CSDC, and China Securities Finance conducted technical test of supporting systems of ChiNext reform and pilot registration system, including online issuance system. From July 27 on, the new technology system has been up-and-running which fully supports market participants’ needs regarding the online offering, transaction settlement, securities margin trading and the like for the ChiNext stocks and depository receipts under the registration-based IPO system.
