ISDA AGM And COVID-19

In an effort to keep our members informed of ISDA’s response to the coronavirus (COVID-19), we would like to make you aware of an important decision we have taken regarding the Annual General Meeting (AGM). After deliberations with the ISDA Board of Directors over how best to ensure the health and safety of our membership and employees, we have decided to reschedule the AGM from May 5-7, 2020 to November 3-5, 2020 in Madrid.

B3 hereby inform you that, due to the triggering of Circuit Breaker (oscillation of -10% from Ibovespa’s closing level on the previous day), all trading in equities segment is interrupted for 30 minutes. During this period, the orders that are not participating in auction can be cancelled.

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that Kyle Moffatt, Chief Accountant and Disclosure Program Director in the Division of Corporation Finance, will leave the agency in March after nearly 20 years of public service.

Federal Reserve Bank Of New York: Statement Regarding Treasury Reserve Management Purchases And Repurchase Operations

The Open Market Trading Desk (the Desk) at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York has released a new monthly schedule of Treasury securities operations and has updated the current monthly schedule of repurchase agreement (repo) operations.  Pursuant to instruction from the Chair in consultation with the FOMC, adjustments have been made to these schedules to address temporary disruptions in Treasury financing markets.  The Treasury securities operation schedule includes a change in the maturity composition of purchases to support functioning in the market for U.S. Treasury securities.  Term repo operations in large size have been added to enhance functioning of secured U.S. dollar funding markets.

Starting with 13 March 2020, daily trading results for Moscow Exchange’s FX and Precious Metals Markets will be disclosed on the website of Moscow Exchange after the end of trading at 23:50:00 MSK on the current trading day.

Given the latest COVID-19 developments, EU and UK negotiators have today jointly decided not to hold next week's round of negotiations in London, in the form originally scheduled.

SEC Adopts Amendments To Reduce Unnecessary Burdens On Smaller Issuers By More Appropriately Tailoring The Accelerated And Large Accelerated Filer Definitions

The Securities and Exchange Commission today adopted amendments to the accelerated filer and large accelerated filer definitions. The amendments will more appropriately tailor the types of issuers that are included in the definitions, thereby reducing unnecessary burdens and compliance costs for certain smaller issuers while maintaining investor protections. The amendments are consistent with the Commission’s and Congress’s historical practice of providing scaled disclosure and other accommodations to reduce unnecessary burdens for new and smaller issuers.
