Global Oil And Gas Contract Value Declines Despite Steady Volume In Q3 2024, Reveals GlobalData

The global oil and gas contract activity saw a 35% quarter-on-quarter decrease in total disclosed value from $55.3 billion in Q2 2024 to $35.7 billion in Q3 2024. Despite this, steady contract volumes, particularly in the Middle East, were driven by substantial projects such as Saipem’s $4 billion contract with QatarEnergy and multi-billion-dollar agreements from Saudi Aramco, providing some stability, reveals GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

Dalian Commodity Exchange: Notice On Adjustments To Trading Margins On Coking Coal Futures

According to the Measures for Risk Management of Dalian Commodity Exchange, it is decided upon discussion that from the settlement on November 25 (Monday), 2024, the speculation and hedging trading margins of Coking Coal futures will be adjusted from 20% and 15% to 12% respectively.

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has issued restriction notices to four brokers, prohibiting them from dealing with or processing certain assets held in their client accounts for suspected market manipulation or fraud involving unauthorised online trades placed through hacked accounts between 24 October and 6 November 2024.

Dalian Commodity Exchange: Notice On Adjusting Trading Limit On Coking Coal Futures

Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) has decided upon discussion that from the trading on November 26 , 2024 (the night trading session on November 25 ), the trading volume of opening long and short positions on each Coking Coal futures contract of any Non-Futures Company Member or client shall not exceed 2,000 lots on any single day respectively.

SEC Charges Three Senior Executives In Two Actions Alleging Massive Bribery Scheme Involving Indian Energy Companies Adani Green And Azure Power - Adani Green’s Note Offering Raised $175 Million From U.S. Investors While Bribery Scheme Was In Progress

The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged Gautam Adani and Sagar Adani, executives of Adani Green Energy Ltd., and Cyril Cabanes, an executive of Azure Power Global Ltd., for conduct arising out of a massive bribery scheme. According to the SEC’s allegations, the bribery scheme was orchestrated to enable the two renewable energy companies to capitalize on a multi-billion-dollar solar energy project that the companies had been awarded by the Indian government. During the alleged scheme, Adani Green raised more than $175 million from U.S. investors and Azure Power’s stock was traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
