At the end of the settlement date of July 15, 2020, short interest in 2,445 Nasdaq Global MarketSM securities totaled 8,029,866,866 shares compared with 8,284,881,466 shares in 2,450 Global Market issues reported for the prior settlement date of June 30, 2020. The mid-July short interest represents 2.71 days compared with 2.67 days for the prior reporting period.

Nadex Temporarily Amends Binary Contracts Strike Width

Pursuant to Section 5c(c)(1) of the Commodity Exchange Act, as amended (“Act”), and Section 40.6(d) of the regulations promulgated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (the “Commission”) under the Act (the “Regulations”), North American Derivatives Exchange, Inc. (“Nadex”, the “Exchange”) hereby provides notice that due to increased volatility in the underlying markets upon which the Nadex contracts are based, Nadex made changes to the strike widths of various contracts during the week of July 20, 2020 as indicated in the Weekly Notice.

US Agencies Adopt Final Rule On The Orderly Liquidation Of Covered Broker-Dealers Under Title II Of The Dodd-Frank Act

The Securities and Exchange Commission and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation have adopted a final rule required by the Dodd-Frank Act clarifying and implementing provisions relating to the orderly liquidation of certain brokers or dealers (covered broker-dealers) in the event the FDIC is appointed receiver under Title II of the Dodd-Frank Act. The FDIC and SEC developed the final rule in consultation with the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC).

The Federal Reserve Board on Friday finalized a rule that implements technical, clarifying updates to its Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) procedures and changes to its rules for the disclosure of confidential supervisory information (CSI), which is supervisory information belonging to the Board that may include proprietary financial institution-specific information. The final rule is generally similar to the proposal from June 2019, with a few changes in response to public comments.

SEC Charges Trustify Inc. And Founder In $18.5 Million Offering Fraud

The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged Trustify Inc., an online marketplace purportedly designed to connect customers to a network of private investigators, and its founder and CEO Daniel Boice with fraudulently offering and selling over $18.5 million of securities to more than 90 corporate and individual investors.
