  • Nadex Refrains From Listing Certain Contracts

    Due to activity in the underlying markets upon which the Nadex contracts are based and pursuant to the authority granted in Nadex Rule 12.1(i), Nadex took the following actions: 

    • No GBP/JPY, GBP/USD, or USD/CAD 5-Minute Intraday Currency Binary contracts were listed for the 6:05pm or 6:10pm expiration times on trade date August 31, 2020;

    • No GBP/JPY or GBP/USD 5-Minute Intraday Currency Binary contracts were listed for the 6:05pm through 6:35pm ET expiration times on trade date September 1, 2020;

    • No GBP/JPY or GBP/USD 5-Minute Intraday Currency Binary contracts were listed for the 6:05pm ET expiration time on trade date September 2, 2020;

    • No GBP/JPY or USD/CAD 5-Minute Intraday Currency Binary contracts were listed for the 6:05pm ET expiration time on trade date September 3, 2020.


  • CFTC Awards Whistleblower For Exposing Ongoing Fraud

    The Commodity Futures Trading Commission today announced it has issued a whistleblower award to an individual whose information led the Commission to open an investigation into ongoing fraudulent activity and successfully bring an enforcement action. In addition to the initial tip, the whistleblower also provided extensive assistance, including documents that were essential to establishing wrongdoing. This additional support enabled the CFTC to take action more quickly and conserve resources.

  • Nadex Temporarily Amends Binary Contracts Strike Width

    Pursuant to Section 5c(c)(1) of the Commodity Exchange Act, as amended (“Act”), and Section 40.6(d) of the regulations promulgated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (the “Commission”) under the Act (the “Regulations”), North American Derivatives Exchange, Inc. (“Nadex”, the “Exchange”) hereby provides notice that due to increased volatility in the underlying markets upon which the Nadex contracts are based, Nadex made changes to the strike widths of various contracts during the week of August 31, 2020 as indicated in the Weekly Notice. 

  • Intercontinental Exchange Completes Acquisition Of Ellie Mae From Thoma Bravo

    Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE: ICE), a leading operator of global exchanges and clearing houses and provider of mortgage technology, data and listing services, today announced that it has received regulatory approval and fully completed its $11 billion acquisition of Ellie Mae from leading private equity firm Thoma Bravo.
