Nadex Refrains From Listing Certain Contracts

Due to activity in the underlying markets upon which the Nadex contracts are based and pursuant to the authority granted in Nadex Rule 12.1(i), Nadex took the following actions:

No GBP/USD, EUR/JPY, or GBP/JPY 5-Minute contracts were listed for the 6:15pm ET expiration time on trade date March 1, 2021;

No GBP/JPY 5-Minute contracts were listed for the 6:05pm ET expiration time on trade date March 2, 2021;
-
No GBP/JPY, or GBP/USD 5-Minute contracts were listed for the 6:05pm ET expiration time on trade date March 5, 2021.

CFTC Charges Two Individuals With Multi-Million Dollar Digital Asset Pump-And-Dump Scheme - First Manipulative Scheme Charged By CFTC Involving Digital Assets

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission today filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York charging businessman and computer programmer John McAfee, previously of Tennessee, and his former employee Jimmy Gale Watson, previously of California, for engaging in a manipulative and deceptive digital asset “pump-and-dump” scheme.

It’s long been clear that LIBOR can’t be relied upon after the end of 2021, but today’s announcement by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) on LIBOR’s future will likely put a rocket on transition efforts. As well as giving firms a clear timetable for when they need to shift to alternative reference rates, the derivatives industry also now has clarity on exactly when new fallbacks for outstanding LIBOR exposures will kick in, as well as the spread adjustments that will be added to the adjusted risk-free rates (RFRs) in the fallback methodology.

February 2021 Monthly Figures At Eurex - OTC Clearing Continues Strong Performance In February

The positive trend in OTC clearing at Eurex continued in February. Notional outstanding volume grew by 10 percent year-on-year to EUR 19,903 billion in February 2021 while average daily cleared volume increased by 15 percent across the same period. Longer dated interest rate swaps saw the largest increase, up 44 percent – from EUR 12 billion in February 2020 to EUR 18 billion in February 2021.
