Nadex Refrains From Listing Certain Contracts

Due to activity in the underlying markets upon which the Nadex contracts are based and pursuant to the authority granted in Nadex Rule 12.1(i), Nadex took the following actions: 

• No EUR/JPY or GBP/JPY 5-Minute contracts were listed for the 6:05pm ET expiration time on trade date November 30, 2020;

• No GBP/USD or GBP/JPY 5-Minute contracts were listed for the 6:05pm ET expiration time on trade date December 1, 2020;

• No GBP/JPY 5-Minute contracts were listed for the 6:05pm ET expiration time on trade date December 4, 2020.

Statement By The Acting Comptroller Of The Currency Regarding Issuance Of FSOC's 2020 Annual Report

Acting Comptroller of the Currency Brian P. Brooks made the following statement today at the meeting of the Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC) with respect to the issuance of FSOC’s 2020 annual report:

I support issuance of the FSOC’s annual report and the recommendations set forth in the report.  I thank the FSOC staff and staff of the other agencies for their hard work on this report.  I believe that the FSOC’s recommendations strengthen the progress we have already made to enhance risk management and prudential controls in our financial system.

Independent Reports On NZX IT And Cybersecurity Completed

NZX confirms completion of the independent reviews into the clearing and settlement incidents between March and April 2020, and the Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks that began in August 2020. It also confirms that key recommendations have already been implemented, or are being actively progressed. The incidents were confirmed as being completely separate from each other.

Vitol Inc. (Vitol), the U.S. affiliate of the Vitol group of companies, which together form one of the largest energy trading firms in the world, has agreed to pay a combined $135 million to resolve the Justice Department’s investigation into violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and to resolve a parallel investigation in Brazil.
