Bursa Malaysia Reports FY2021 Profit After Tax And Zakat Of RM355 Million

Bursa Malaysia Berhad (“Bursa Malaysia” or the “Exchange”) recorded a Profit After Tax and Zakat (“PAT”) of RM355.3 million for the financial year ended 31 December 2021 (“FY2021”), a 6.0 percent decrease from the RM377.7 million reported in the previous financial year ended 31 December 2020 (“FY2020”). This is mainly due to lower operating revenue of RM751.6 million in FY2021 compared to RM778.8 million in FY2020, a decrease of 3.5 percent. The total operating expenses in FY2021 was lower by 1.1 percent at RM288.6 million against RM291.8 million in FY2020.

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that Kristin Snyder, Deputy Director of the Division of Examinations (EXAMS), is leaving the agency at the end of this month after more than 18 years of service. •  Updated Metrics. Data series containing daily cancel-to-trade ratios, trade-order volumes, hidden rates, and odd-lot rate metrics for Q4 2021 are now available. This data extends to 120 total months the data series you can view in the data visualization tool as well as download in CSV format. The visualization for quote-life data now defaults to Q4 2021.

In 2010, with the passage of the Dodd-Frank Act, Congress recognized the importance of increasing transparency and accountability in executive pay practices. As part of that executive compensation disclosure mandate, the Commission proposed a rulemaking in 2015 that would provide insight into the links between executive pay and company performance. Unfortunately, the Commission let that rule, like other Dodd-Frank rules, languish.
