In response to the release of the independent evaluator’s report of the Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments (OBSI) published today, the OBSI Joint Regulators Committee (JRC) is issuing the following statement:

EBA Issues Revised List Of ITS Validation Rules

The European Banking Authority (EBA) issued today a revised list of validation rules for its reporting standards (ITS, RTS, Guidelines), highlighting those which have been deactivated either for incorrectness or for triggering IT problems. Competent Authorities throughout the EU are informed that data submitted in accordance with these reporting standards should not be formally validated against the set of deactivated rules.

Schwab Subsidiaries Misled Robo-Adviser Clients About Absence Of Hidden Fees

The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged three Charles Schwab investment adviser subsidiaries for not disclosing that they were allocating client funds in a manner that their own internal analyses showed would be less profitable for their clients under most market conditions. The subsidiaries agreed to pay $187 million to harmed clients to settle the charges.
